Artificial intelligence

This volume contains the teaching materials for KIFS-89, the seventh in the series of Spring Schools on Artificial Intelligence, which has been organized by the Technical Committee 1.2. organized by the Society for Computer Science (GI). These spring schools offer introductions to representative sub-areas of artificial intelligence as well as more in-depth advanced courses in current specialist areas. The present anthology is accordingly designed as a textbook and is therefore suitable both for those interested who want to get an initial overview of relevant research areas in artificial intelligence, as well as for those who want to deepen their previous knowledge in this area in individual areas.
