Allah punishes those who hurt others
Muslims do not search for the mistakes of their fellow believers
[In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful]
"Oh you, who believe! Avoid guesswork abundantly. Because some of what you suspect is sin. And don't look for your neighbor's mistakes and secrets. "
[Surah Hujurat, verse 12]
Islam worries about the well-being of people on earth but also and especially later in life in the beyond. So he formulates a series of do's and don'ts, which take care of this and lead people to this goal. It is therefore important to him to first create a suitable basis for this, and this includes a society or a life in a society in which love, respect and brotherhood rule. Sometimes, however, no less obstacles stand in the way of this great goal. Mentioned here is, for example, rummaging for other people's mistakes and secrets - or worse, uncovering them. Islam regards this as a sin. For example, the verse recited at the beginning tells us that it is a sin to think badly of people. Anyone who thinks badly will inevitably lead to actions that Islam does not like to see. Because whoever searches secretly for the mistakes of other people and tries to uncover them, will also talk to his fellow human beings about what he has uncovered. And it is precisely this passing on that will then nullify the good deeds that he previously committed. Hence, the Prophet and his companions did not look for the mistakes of others. And those who did so the prophet warned with the following words: “Whoever rebukes a fellow believer for his fault or wrongdoing will not die before he also does what he rebukes.”
whoever exposes the mistakes and offenses of other people will only sow hatred and discord among people, which can lead to enmity. People will lose their sense of shame and thus an important control mechanism in society and at the same time encourage moral decline. Our beloved Prophet (saas) pointed this out in one of his hadis when he said: "If you uncover the mistakes and secrets of Muslims, you will add to their moral decline or turn them against each other."
Therefore, everyone should see their mistakes first instead of grappling with those of others. Yes, one should even cover up other people's mistakes.
In his hadisen, our Prophet (saas) admonished us as follows:
“Do not grieve the Muslims, do not blame them or look for their mistakes. Whoever searches for the mistake of his fellow believer and reveals it, can count on Allah to bring one of his mistakes to light. And once Allah has brought a person's fault to light, it will not be able to escape shame and shame even within his four walls. "
"He who covers up the mistake and offense of his fellow believer will be like the one who raises the dead."
"Anyone who sees a mistake or an offense and covers it up will be like someone who digs up a child who has been buried alive and thus preserves his life."
"Whoever covers up the mistakes of his fellow believer can count on Allah to cover his mistakes on the day of judgment."
We must not overlook the fact that news and programs that rummage through people's private lives also belong in this category and, as such, encourage moral decline in society. Human dignity is inviolable in Islam, which also means that the privacy of one's family must not be exposed to the outside world, for whatever reason. Because the main concern of Islam is to create a solidary society in which people support one another, get along with one another and cover the mistakes of their fellow human beings and strengthen bonds and friendship with one another.
Allah will show a believing person, once he has enjoyed faith, his faults so that he no longer sees those of others.
